Transcript Request Process
CURRENT STUDENTS
Below are several options for requesting your transcript. These are some of the more common ways to make a request. The list is not exhaustive – you may use or come across other ways to electronically request your transcript.
There is a processing fee for transcript requests. According to WSFCS Board Policy Code 3250, the first 2 transcripts are free. After the first 2 transcripts, students will be charged $2/copy to be mailed.
Important Note: Please remember once transcripts are submitted, colleges and universities have an internal timeline for intake and processing. You may still receive automated notifications from the school indicating your transcript has not been received – even after it has been sent. If you have questions about if or when your transcript will be marked as received, we encourage you to contact the school’s admission office directly.
Common App – If you use Common App to apply to any schools, please enter your counselor’s contact information and they will receive a request to submit your transcript electronically. Unsure if a school uses the Common App – click here to conduct a search.
College Foundation of NC (CFNC) - West Forsyth participates in CFNC’s statewide electronic high school transcript systems. This means you can request your transcript when you submit an online application or when you are on their Application Hub. This request is transmitted automatically through CFNC. All NC colleges and universities, public and private, participate in this service. For more information visit www.CFNC.org.
Coalition for College – If you are using Coalition for College to apply to a school, please follow their instructions on how to request an electronic transcript from your counselor.
Other Transcript Requests – Please complete the Current Student Transcript Request Form (or come to Student Services to complete a hard copy). Please read below for additional information about transcript requests.
- Transcripts are mailed/emailed on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Reasons you may need to request a transcript include (but are not limited to): schools not participating in one of the services listed above; scholarships; DMV; Social Security Administration.
- Students requesting a digital, unofficial copy of their transcript will receive an email with a link to access it at their WSFCS student email address.
- Please email Mrs. Reaves at mjreaves@wsfcs.k12.nc.uswith any questions.
