KERNERSVILLE MIDDLE HONORS SOCIETY
The Kernersville Middle School Honor Society recognizes students who excel in scholarship, character, leadership, service and citizenship. Members participate in group service projects as well as their own individual service projects.
HOW TO BECOME A HONOR SOCIETY MEMBER:
To be invited to apply for membership, a student must have good grades and conduct. Once an invitation is given, a Googple Form will be completed in the fall. The selection committee will base their selections on the following:
SCHOLARSHIP
- Has not made below a "B"/80 for the first 2 quarters of the school year in which student is applying with no grades of C, D or F.
- Was a member of another honor society at a previous school
CHARACTER
- Exemplifies high character traits
- Has received NO discipline referrals to the office during the previous school year
SERVICE
- Member of Crosby Scholars or willing to become a member of Crosby Scholars
ONCE A KMHS MEMBER:
- All meetings are mandatory
- Maintain an overall C average (with no D’s or F’s required)
- No Discipline
- Must be a member of or join Crosby Scholars
- Must give a toy or money to the Kernersville Middle Honor Society Toy Drive.
- Must donate at least 5 cans goods/box food or a monetary donation to the Kernersville Middle Honor Society Food Drive.
