Degrees and Certifications:

7th Grade

My name is Aaron Richardson Sr. and I am the 7th-grade assistant principal for Philo-Hill Magnet Academy.  This is my 3rd year as an administrator at Philo-Hill.  Prior to that, I spent a combined 9 years as a Resource and Inclusion Special Education Teacher in both the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School system and Carter G. Woodson School.

I am originally from Hackensack, NJ.  I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Winston-Salem State University.  I obtained my master’s degree in School Administration at Appalachian State University.

I have a passion for motivating and scaffolding students and educators to perform at their highest potential which stems from my 9 years of coaching Track and Field on the collegiate, high school, and middle school levels.

I believe small wins build to bigger victories.  That is why such things as morning greetings to students, positive encouragement both inside and outside the classroom, and positive rapport will ultimately lead to the success of the whole child.

We strive every day to make sure all students receive a quality education here at Philo-Hill Magnet Academy and look forward to collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure that the mission continues!
