NAF academy students participate in a continuum of work-based learning activities over the course of the academy experience. Work-based learning experiences prepare them to make informed college and career choices. Work-based learning includes:
- Career Awareness: classroom guest speakers, worksite tours and career fairs
- Career Exploration: job shadowing, mock interviews, and informational interviews
- Career Preparation: a paid 120-hour internship between the student’s junior and senior year in high school.
