volunteer opportunities

  • We are so thankful to have our families supporting us through their volunteer hours.  The work we can do for our students with your help is AMAZING! 

    Every DTS family must volunteer as part of the agreement for your student to remain in our magnet program. The volunteer commitments are as follows:
    • K-8th - 1 hour per child per week (36 hours total per child for the school year), with a cap of 72 hrs per family.
    • PreK - .5 hrs per child per week (18 hours total per child for the school year), with a cap of 36 hrs for families with only PreK students.

    Reminder that everyone who volunteers needs to complete the WSFCS Volunteer form yearly.  If you have already been prompted to update your form you are all set. If you are a new volunteer or have not updated your form here is the link to complete the process.
    NEW DTS Volunteer Management System- HelpCounter
    We will be using a new volunteer application to keep track of hours and signups this year called HelpCounter.  We want to make sure that we have accurate information for volunteer contact information so that you can easily access your account. 
    Please use this video and handout to get started with HelpCounter. All family members who will be volunteering at DTS need to signup for HelpCounter.
