The Governor's School of North Carolina
The Governor's School of North Carolina is the oldest statewide summer residential program for gifted and talented high school students in the nation. The program, which is open to rising seniors only, with exceptions made for rising juniors in selected performing/visual arts areas, is located on two campuses: Governor's School West at Winston-Salem State University and Governor's School East at Meredith College.

- There will be an informational meeting on October 11, 2022, at 6:00 pm for students and their parents/guardians to learn more about NC Governor's School and the application process. You can access that meeting using this link.
- A student information session to explain the application, essays, and personal readiness sections will be offered on October 25, 2022, from 8 am-8:45 am and 12 pm-2 pm. This session can be accessed using this link.
- Completed applications are due to school contact by mid-November. Please see your school counselor for specific details.
