Good Evening Senior Vikings

Did you miss the 1st Senior Pickup to receive your cap and gown from Jostens? No worries, come out tomorrow, yes tomorrow, May 13, for our Second Senior Pickup Curbside Delivery from 11 a.m - 12:30 Jostens will be on campus to distribute any items for the Class of 2020, including your cap and gown and graduation announcements. We will be located curbside at the front of North Forsyth HS. In order to pick up your items, you will need to pre-pay your Jostens order online through the email invoice or by calling 1-800-JOSTENS. If you cannot prepay, you may bring cash to pay for your Jostens items..exact change is preferred to help with traffic flow.

Along your drive, there will be several stations to allow you to pay for Senior Fees, Dues, turn in your Chromebook and/or Hotspot, a Photo Opt. with your cap and gown by the Senior rock, with a few surprises and giveaways along the way. Did you come to the first Senior pickup, we believe a trip back to this Second Senior Pickup is worth the second trip!

To aid in safety and traffic flow, We must ensure that we have social distancing protocols in place in order for us to distribute your graduation supplies. When you arrive to pick up your materials, we ask that you stay in your car and a Jostens representative and North Forsyth faculty member will come to your vehicle to provide assistance.

We can't wait to see your smiling faces and great you with LOVE and a few mementos as you drive by!

Good Evening Class of 2020,

Spring Break has officially started, I do not know about you, but our Viking Seniors and Family really deserve this break. Remember there will be no NEW eLearning during Spring Break, however, it is a time to get caught up in your classes. We hope you received information about grades from the district yesterday. If not, you can find everything on our website. A couple of reminders: The end of the third quarter was March 13. If you are missing any work from before March 13, get that work turned in as soon as possible. If you have been completing assignments at home since March 13, make sure you have submitted that work to your teacher. This work may replace missing assignments which can enhance your grade. If you have questions about assignments or grades, please contact your teacher. Teachers will finalize third quarter grades after Spring Break, and you will be able to see your final grades for each class in PowerSchool on April 24. If you have met all graduation requirements, you are not required to do any more course work for your classes. If you have not met graduation requirements, we will let you know, beginning April 27. We will help you with what you need to do to earn a passing grade for those courses, this may include working on assignments through June 11 to get credit for your courses. Your teachers and counselors are here to help you with this. If you have questions about a specific course you are taking, please contact your teacher. If you have questions about whether or not you have everything completed for graduation, please contact your counselor. Look out we want to see your faces, Guess WHAT: Cap and Gown pick up is April 24 from 10 am. - 2 p.m, in the roundabout at the front of the school. Good Afternoon Viking Family

We have now completed three weeks of e-learning and we could not be any prouder of our Viking Staff and Scholars for a job well done. We have begun distributing hotspots to our students and families today. Please call the school, at 336.661.4880 if you are in the need of a Chromebook or hotspot. Scholars keep working hard. If you need help contact your teacher via their e-learning platforms. Remember Spring Breaks start April 10. No new assignments will be posted during Sprint Break. You, however, can use the time to catch up on assignments. No free meals will be served next Friday, April 10, as it is the Good Friday Holiday. Double meals, however, will be served on Thursday. The week of Spring Break, April 13 - 17 our school will still serve meals to our community. Seniors Keep working, more information for you will be coming soon. Remember to continue using our Viking Virtues and practice acts of kindness daily.

Buenas Tardes Familias Vikingas

Hemos completado 3 semanas de Aprendizaje en linea y no podemos estar mas orgullosos de nuestro personal y escolares por un trabajo bien hecho. El viernes hemos empezado a distribuir dispositivos de hotspots a nuestros estudiantes y familias. Por favor llame a la escuela al 336.661.4880 si usted esta en necesidad de una computadora Chromebook o de un hotspot. Escolares, mantenganse trabajando duro. Si necesita ayuda contacte a su maestra(o) via la plataforma de Aprendizaje en linea conocida como e-learning. Recuerde que el descanso de primavera empieza en Abril 10. No se pondran nuevas asignaciones durante el descanso primaveral.   Usted, como quiera, puede usar este tiempo para actualizarse en tareas que no ha completado.  No habran comidas gratis este viernes 10 de abril ya que es el dia de fiesta de Viernes Santo.  Aun asi el jueves se servira doble comida.  La semana de descanso primaveral, Abril 13 al 17 nuestra escuela seguira sirviendo comidas a nuestra comunidad.  A nuestros futuros Graduandos, mantenganse trabajando, mas informacion vendra para ustedes pronto.  Recuerden continuar usando nuestras Virtudes Vikingas y practicando acciones amables diariamente.

We have made it another week e-learning. You all have done a great job being patient, flexible and understanding during this time. We want to continue to update you as we receive updates and guidance from the state and the governor. North Forsyth will continue to serve free meals will during the stay at home order from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. If students have questions please reach out to your teachers via email, PSL, and/or the form located on our Website on the eLearning hub webpage. Grading will continue and we will work with families still experiencing WiFi connectivity trouble. Monday is a teacher workday, don’t expect new eLearning options on that day, however, it is a great day to get caught up on any items not completed. Hemos podido lograr una semana mas de Aprendizaje en linea.  Todos han hecho un buen trabajo siendo pacientes, flexibles y entendidos durante este tiempo.  Queremos continuar actualizandote mientras nosotros recibimos actualizaciones y guianza del estado y del governador. North Forsyth continuara sirviendo comidas gratis de 10 de la manana a 2 de la tarde mientras dure la orden de quedarse en casa .  Si algun estudiante tiene preguntas, alcance a su maestra(o) via correo electronico, PSL, y /o la forma localizada en nuestra pagina web en el centro de aprendizaje en linea.  Las calificaciones continuran y estaremos trabajando con familias que todavia estan experimentando problemas con la coneccion de WiFi. As we continue to navigate through our current situation, we want you to know that third-quarter report cards have been suspended until further notice but e-learning and eGrading continues. Due to the circumstances at hand, if you do not have a laptop, it is imperative you call the school to schedule an appointment for pick-up between 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and to complete the online request form, located on our webpage.  At your scheduled appointment, please bring a photo ID. If you have questions please feel free to contact the school between 8 - 4 p.m. or visit our e-learning hub on our webpage for further help. And as always remember We are #VikingStrong

Good Morning NFHS Scholars,

Yes, today is the start of e-Learning, and we know you are experiencing issues with PowerSchool Learning. Our district is working hard to resolve this issue. At this time we need you to put those Viking Virtues into action. There will be challenges, and there will be distractions. You will need to be disciplined, self-reliant and show perseverance. Continue checking for assignments and working hard to complete them. Do not be deterred when distractions and obstacles come. Use the resources provided, and asking for help when you need it via email, remind and PSL when working. Work the entire time we are out, even if it is hard so you can complete your courses. Remember we are VIKING STRONG!
