Dr. Buckner is currently a School Psychologist for WSFCS and serves three schools. These schools include: Ashley Academy, Atkins High School, and Ibraham Elementary School.
Brief Bio
Dr. Buckner completed his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and his EdS in School Psychology at Indiana University-Bloomington. He has over 25 years of experience as an educator in public and private schools in the US and internationally. Dr. Buckner is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and holds licensure in four areas under the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. These areas include: Learning Disability Teacher, School Psychologist, Principal, and Superintendent. During his career, Dr. Buckner has served in a variety of roles including Classroom Teacher, School Psychologist, Program Manager, Director of Admissions, Director of Student Services, and Head of Schools.
Professional Interests
Some of Dr. Buckner’s professional interests include school leadership, process improvement, special education, psychological assessment, and international education.
