After obtaining my undergraduate degree in elementary education at Wake Forest University, and receiving my M.Ed. in counseling at UNC-Greensboro, I worked as an elementary school counselor at Old Richmond and Whitaker elementary schools for a few years.

For over 20 years, I have served as an Educational Diagnostician in the Psychological Services department.
