In order to effectively reach, teach, and serve a diverse student population, it is important to understand who they are, where they come from, and the many gifts and talents they possess and bring to school daily. Reading and discussion with collegues in a study group can provide an opportunity to delve deeper by sharing and listening to various perspectives.
