• Inspire 340 Purpose Statement:

The purpose of the Inspire 340 network is to engage all schools, families, businesses, and community partners in the implementation of action-oriented strategies that will lead to systemic change and improve learning outcomes for students in underserved communities.

    • Inspire340 schools are schools within the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools District that have the special designation of being a Priority or Focus School. The number 340 represents the local education code for Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. Many of the Priority and Focus schools are Title I schools that receive additional federal funding for supplies, materials, and staff incentives.  Inspire 340's  mission is to INSPIRE students to achieve and excel, despite life challenges, through the power of education. Our goal is to innovate and revitalize education as we know it for under-served students in our communities!

    • In addition to school district support and resources, Inspire 340 has support from private donors who are committed to providing additional operating funds to Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools to address critical student achievement gaps and improve third-grade reading and math proficiency scores over time.
