Culinary Arts Academy
Culinary Arts is an international National Restaurant Association Education Foundation high school program that unites the classroom and hospitality industry to develop the best and brightest talent into tomorrow’s restaurant and foodservice leaders. Students work a minimum of 400 hours covering 70+ skills and pass two comprehensive exams to receive the Prostart Certificate of Achievement (COA). Foods 1 and Foods 2 Enterprise in 9 th and 10 th grades prepare students for the rigor of ProStart and teach foundational culinary and business skills through entrepreneurial activities like the student-developed, fully functioning catering enterprise.
