Title I School-Parent Compact
Mission: To provide all students the resources needed to meet their maximum potential; emotionally, physically, and academically.
Vision: Lowrance Middle School will provide a safe and engaging environment that prepares students through differentiated instruction to reach their fullest potential. In collaboration with parents and community, we will provide students with a solid foundation of functional skills needed to become independent, productive members of society.
Lowrance Middle School will be participating in the Title I, Part A program during the 2022-2023 school year. The purpose of the Title I program is to help at-risk students meet the state's challenging standards. Schools qualify for Title I funds based on economic need. This compact outlines how school staff, students, and their families will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement as well as describes how the school and parents will build and develop a partnership that will help children achieve the State’s high standards.
The parents, students, and staff of Lowrance partnered together to develop this school-parent compact for achievement. Teachers suggested home and school learning strategies and parents added input about the types of support they needed. Students also shared with us what would help them learn.
Parents are encouraged to attend annual revision meetings held during the 2022-2023 school year each year to review the compact and make suggestions based on student needs and school improvement goals. Parents are also encouraged to participate in the annual Title I parent survey that is also used as a tool to collect parent feedback regarding the current Title I programs and policies.
To understand how working together can benefit your child, it is first important to understand the district’s and school’s goals for student academic achievement.
WS/FCS Goal 1: WS/FCS will raise student achievement, close achievement gaps and enable all students to take ownership of their learning.
WS/FCS Goal 2: WS/FCS will eliminate barriers so that factors of achievement predictability do not impact students’ equitable access to learning opportunities. WS/FCS will provide quality instructional facilities and learning environments for all students.
WS/FCS Goal 3: WS/FCS will build and strengthen partnerships and communication with families, local businesses, educational organizations, community agencies and advocacy groups in order to engage families and community stakeholders in the entire educational process for all students.
WS/FCS Goal 4: WS/FCS will recruit and retain a highly effective and diverse workforce that supports district goals to ensure excellence for all.
WS/FCS Goal 5: WS/FCS will foster an inclusive climate that values the safety and well-being of all students, faculty and staff and foster an environment that creates a sense of belonging.
Lowrance MS Goal 1: By June 2023 we will use components of MTSS to ensure 100% of students participate in small group instruction that consist of remediation or enrichment
Lowrance MS Goal 2: By June 2023, 90% of Lowrance students will demonstrate appropriate behavior expectations across school settings.
Lowrance MS Goal 3: June 2023, Panorama survey results will show a positive increase of 10% in all staff will report feeling supported to plan for instruction, try new practices, and assume leadership roles within the school environment.
