COURSE REGISTRATION for the 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR Updated 1/29/2021
As we begin second semester, students will also begin the process of registering for the courses they need and want to take in the 2021-22 school year.
Again, this year, our students will register for classes through an online portal in PowerSchool. Each of our students will also have an opportunity to engage in a one-on-one meeting with a school counselor whether they are attending classes in person or remotely. Registration information, videos, and documents will be available at the Student Services section of the RJR website. We also encourage students and families to communicate with current and potential future teachers as they build course selection plans for next school year.
The course registration period is an important time to review academic accomplishments, challenges, and failures and plan for taking courses in the future that build toward graduation, college admission and other post-secondary goals. When the online registration portal opens on February 2nd, we want students and families to go ahead and register for classes, knowing that they will have opportunities to discuss course choices with teachers and school counselors. Again, school counselors will meet with each junior, sophomore, and freshman individually.
Students and families that want to explore Career Center courses for next school year should use the Career Center website to learn about CTE, AP, and other special course offerings. Dr. Nancy Martinez, the CC principal, will hold the next Town Hall Meeting on January 21st, and a virtual CC Open House will be held on January 28th from 5:30-7:30 pm. Course information from previous Town Hall meetings is also posted on the CC website. Contact the Career Center at 336-727-8181 with questions.
Students/Families are always welcome to check in with your Reynolds school counselor with questions.
