Morehead-Cain Scholar (UNC Chapel Hill)
High school seniors who are driven, courageous, and inquisitive leaders should consider applying for this scholarship that covers full tuition, fees, potential summer experiences either by direct application or requesting to be considered as one of the five West Forsyth High School nominees. Those who want to be considered as one of the five West Forsyth nominees should submit Morehead-Cain Nominee Questionnaire to Mrs. Hubbard (email or hard copy) and the Request to be Considered for a Scholarship form by September 16, 2022
Application materials are due to the Morehead-Cain Scholarship foundation by October 1, 2022 and students must apply to UNC Chapel Hill by January 15. More information about the scholarship and application process can be found here
Park Scholar (NC State University)
NEW 2022-2023 - School Endorsements are NOT part of the process
Highly qualified students are encouraged to apply for this four-year scholarship covering tuition, fees, and room and board; books/personal expenses; enrichment grants. Apply by November 1, 2022 via Park Scholars website.
Coca Cola Scholars
Current high school seniors who have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA and can demonstrate their capacity to lead and serve should consider applying for this $20,000 scholarship here. Application deadline is October 31, 2022.
Gates Millenium Scholars Program
Funded by Bill & Melinda Gates, this is a program that allows African American, Hispanic American, Asian/Pacific Islander Americans, or American Indian/Alaska Native students an opportunity to fund their undergraduate degree.
Eligibility
- High school senior
- Minimum GPA = 3.3 on 4.0 scale
- US Citizen or permanent resident
- Eligible for pell grant

Lowell T. Bryan Scholarship (Davidson College)
Student athletes interested in participating in sports at the collegiate level and committed to engaging in a competitive academic environment must be nominated by West Forsyth for this opportunity. Interested students must submit the Request to be considered for a scholarship form by September 16 and provide a resume.
To be considered, you must participate in an eligible sport:
- Wrestling
- Baseball
- Men's and Women's Cross Country
- Men's and Women's Soccer
- Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving
- Men's and Women's Tennis
- Men's and Women's Track and Field
- Men's and Women's Indoor Track
