    The alumni chapter is providing at least two $1,000 Scholarships to the best applicants who exhibit excellence in involvement, participation, achievement, motivation, and goals.  Graduating seniors must have maintained at least a 2.5 grade point average.  Complete applications should be submitted by April 19, 2024

    Graduating seniors who reside in Forsyth County and have maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average can apply for a $500 scholarship.  All application materials must be submitted by April 30, 2024.


    24th District Scholarship

    The Masons and Eastern Star members are offering a one-time, $500 scholarship to seniors who meet the following criteria:

    • US Citizens who are residents of North Carolina
    • Maintained at least a 2.5 GPA
    • First generation college student
    • Intend to attend an HBCU

    Alpha Alpha Gamma Psi Christian Sorority, Inc Scholarship

    Senior female students who are permanent residents of Forsyth County and surrounding counties should apply for the 2024 scholarship if they meet the following criteria:

    • Maintained at least a 3.0 GPA (unweighted)
    • Female student
    • Plans to attend college, university, trade school program as a full-time student
    • Demonstrate financial need
    • Have completed at least 20 hours of community service
    • Must be citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States

    Twin City Alumni Chapter Scholarship

    Graduating Seniors who plan to attend North Carolina A&T State University in the Fall are eligible to apply for a $1,000 scholarship  based on the following criteria:

    • Maintained at least a 3.0 GPA
    • US Citizen
    • Residents of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County
    • Provide proof of acceptance to NCA&T State University

    Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Scholarship Information

    The 2024 scholarship cycle is open to African American female seniors who meet the following criteria:

    Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement with a minimum GPA of 3.0
    ● Submit a 300-500 word typewritten essay
    ● Participate in school and community activities
    ● Demonstrate leadership ability
    ● Demonstrate evidence of service designed to improve the condition of underserved groups and/or populations
    ● Plan to attend a four-year college or university, following high school graduation
    ● Submit a transcript, activities resume and senior photo

     

    Eligible students can apply for the Phi Omega Scholarship valued at $500 or the Pearl Scholarship valued at $1,000.  The application deadline is March 22, 2024


    Winston-Salem Chapter of National Women of Achievement, Inc. Scholarship

    • The Achiever Attorney Willie Kennedy Achievement Scholarship is for a student planning to attend an accredited 4-year college or university ($500.00),
    • The Achiever Dr. Manderline Scales HBCU Scholarship is for a student planning to attend an accredited 4-year Historically Black College or University (HBCU) ($500.00).

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTIn order to be considered for a scholarship from the Winston-Salem Chapter, the applicant must be a Class of 2024 graduating high school senior from Forsyth County who plans to be enrolled in an accredited 4 - year college or university or an accredited 4 - year HBCU in the fall semester immediately following application or immediately upon graduation from high school.

    North Carolina Association of Rescue & Emergency Medical Services, Inc.

    Children or Members Scholarship Application

    One $2,000 scholarship (over 2 years) will be awarded to a senior who is a member of an Emergency Services organization in one of the following counties: Alamance, Alleghany, Ashe, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yadkin with plans to enter into an Emergency Services trade school in the fall.  

    Scholarships will be based on: scholastic achievement, intellectual ability, financial need, character, and promise of future contribution to our state and nation.  Awards are available to students who will attend college in North Carolina.

    High school seniors who meet the following criteria should apply for a $2,000 scholarship to be used at a 2 year or 4 year college/university:

    Scholarships of up to $1,000 are available to a senior who meets the following criteria:

    National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Scholarship

    Seniors are eligible to apply for a one-time scholarship if they meet the following criteria:

    • Plan to enroll full time at a two-year or four-year college/university
    • Maintained at least a 2.5 unweighted GPA
    • Demonstrate Financial Need

    State Employees Credit Union People Helping People Scholarship

    Seniors who meet the following criteria should apply for a scholarship valued at $10,000 over four years to be used at any of the 16 UNC System campuses:

    • Current or eligible members of SECU (State Employees Credit Union)
    • Maintained atleast a 2.5 unweighted GPA
    • NC resident and eligible for in-state tuition
    • Demonstrated leadership, excellent character, integrity, and community involvement
