- Northwest Middle School
- Mr. Flowe - School Social Worker
-
My name is Philippian Flowe, Jr, and I am the proud school social worker for Northwest Middle School. I am a recent graduate from the Joint Master’s Social Work Program between UNCG and A&T University. I am passionate about being that connecting piece between the students/families, staff, and the community.
A little more about me
I am originally from Charlotte, NC. I moved to the triad area to pursue my college education. I have a few years of experience in the Greensboro area as an intern within multiple schools. After graduating, I was offered this position to relocate to Winston-Salem. I am super excited to be here and committed to making a lasting positive impact within the community.
As the school social worker, I pride myself on catering to everyone’s needs I can meet. I understand that in order for students to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally, they need to be continuously supported in all aspects. As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child. I truly believe that, therefore, I am fully committed to doing all I can to help support the students and their families. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I am here to assist with resources such as food, clothing, and school supplies. In addition, but not limited to, I help support mental health concerns, attendance needs, and crisis intervention.
Currently, I serve at 3 schools within the district. I am at NWMS in-person on Tuesday’s and Friday’s. I am always available by phone if you need to contact me Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm.
I look forward to talking with you all and connecting with the families at Northwest. Thank you! I hope you’re having a great day. Remember to smile!
Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
