    Ms. Chambers

Hello, Virtual Academy students & families. My name is Mrs. Jennifer Chambers and I am the 7th and 8th grade Math teacher here at the VA. In addition to teaching math, I serve as the School Improvement Team chair, Math department chair, and the National Junior Honor Society co-sponsor.  I am beyond excited to start my 4th year teaching middle school math at the Virtual Academy and my 23rd year teaching in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. A little bit about me... I attended college at Western Carolina University and received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, but later added Middle Grades Math and Social Studies as well.  I also attended Appalachian State University and received my master's degree in Instructional Technology/Educational Media as well as a master's degree in School Administration.   When I'm not teaching, I am usually at home watching reality TV or a good movie, at taekwondo with my husband, PJ, and our identical twin boys, Braxton & Brayden, or learning about new & exciting technology tools to use in my classroom.   We have one dog named Peanut, who is 17 years old.  Our family loves going on cruises, camping at the beach, going out on the lake, and traveling to the mountains or Charleston, SC.  We also love simply staying at home and having family game nights. Teaching math has always been my passion and it is my goal to create a love of learning math in my students.  I look forward to another fabulous school year with our incredible students and families at the Virtual Academy.
