Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. David Wils

I’m Dave Wils, and I am thrilled to be serving as an Assistant Principal in the Raven’s Nest for a second year! I began my educational career in 2008 teaching US History and Civics at Lexington Senior High School. From there, I taught social studies at Ledford Middle School in Davidson County. After a brief time away from the classroom, I returned to education for good in 2014, where I taught seventh and eighth grade social studies at The Academy at Lincoln in Guilford County. I finished my time in the classroom teaching Civics and AP Government at Grimsley High School. It was there that I was inspired by my school leaders to pursue administration and, in 2019, I was accepted into the North Carolina Principal Fellowship, studying for 2 years at UNCG and interning at elementary schools in Guilford County. Upon graduation in 2021, I took a job in Alamance County as an Assistant Principal at Graham High School before transferring to East Forsyth Middle for the 2022-23 school year.

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education from Grand Valley State University in Michigan, and a Master of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am excited about what the upcoming school year will bring, and I look forward to working with you and your students to ensure their growth and success both in and out of the classroom.

Go Ravens!
