    CTE SUMMER CAMPS ARE CLOSED--ALL SLOTS ARE FULL.
    The WS/FCS Career and Technical Education Department is hosting several summer camps for rising 8th graders through rising 12th graders during June and July 2024. Camp descriptions can be found below. Registration opens on Friday, March 22nd, for two weeks only. The registration link can be found below, on the West Forsyth home page and on the WS/FCS website. Take advantage of this exciting opportunity to learn more about 3D printing, woodworking, graphic design, drones, farm to table food prep, video game design, entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, sewing and apparel, and much more. Don't delay, space is limited in each camp, so register now.
     
     
     
    Novant Health is introducing Bridges to Healthcare Phase II for any 2024 graduating senior in Forsyth County. Bridges to Healthcare Phase II is CLOSED--registration has ended.
     
    Bridges to Healthcare Phase II is an educational assistance program that is shaping the future of healthcare by empowering high school seniors on their path to success. Bridges provides FULL educational assistance to high school graduates in Forsyth county (and other qualifying counties). The program covers tuition, books and fees for students planning to pursue a certificate, diploma or 2-year associate degree in a healthcare-related field. The program also provides mentoring and professional development opportunities on a monthly basis. The criteria and requirements are listed below. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2024. 
    • A high school diploma will be earned by July 1, 2024
    • Minimum Unweighted Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.50
    • Graduating seniors must be enrolled or enroll at an NC Community College.
    • Must be a current resident of Forsyth county (Brunswick, Mecklenburg, New Hanover, or Rowan county residents also accepted)
    • Annual household income of $40,000 OR less
