- Receipt from the home school showing the purchase of student’s home school parking sticker.
- WS/FCS Career Center High School Student Driving and Parking Permit form completely filled out and signed by a parent/guardian and the student. (Copies located on Career Center Website and in Main Office)
- Paper or digital copy of the student’s class schedule for 2019-2020 school year.
Note: There is no charge for a Career Center parking sticker with proof of purchase of a full price home school sticker ($115.00). There is a $10.00 fee if home school parking passes were paid at a reduced rate. If you are an all-day Career Center student, the cost is $115.00 paid to Career Center office.
Student parking is limited at Career Center. There is no guarantee a student will receive a parking sticker to park on campus even with the purchase of a home school sticker. Once all stickers have been assigned, students can be placed on a waiting list. If parking spots become available, students will be contacted in the order of being placed on the waiting list.
Carpooling is strongly encouraged to all Career Center student drivers.
Any questions, you may call Career Center at 336-727-8181.Bus 40 Details:On November 17, 2018, the 1.2 mile section of U.S. 421/Interstate 40 Business (Business 40) between Peters Creek Parkway and U.S. 52 through the heart of downtown Winston-Salem closed for construction. NCDOT estimates it will not reopen until 2020. Because Business 40 is a lifeline for commuters from all areas of the county and is a connector for students coming from different high schools to the WS/FCS Career Center, we want staff, parents, and students prepared to navigate while the road is closed. In the lists below are maps with alternative routes prepared by WS/FCS and NCDOT.Click any link to view printable directions and a map to the Career Center starting from each home school.Estimated driving times are indicated on the directions.
