6th Grade  Spanish:  This course is for students that are new to Spanish or had minimal exposure in Elementary School. We will be using the textbook Realidades 1A.  (This is the same text used in High school Spanish 1.)  We will start with some of the basics of the language and will proceed with other units of study.  There will be some homework with this course.  (You can't learn a language without practice!)  All tests and quizzes will be announced ahead of time.  Students continuing with Spanish through all three years of Middle School can be eligible to earn High School credit for level 1!

7th Grade  Spanish:  This course is for students that took  Spanish in 6th grade.  We will quickly review material covered last year and will pick up where we left off.  We will still be using Realidades 1A and should we finish it, we will go into Realidades 1B.  We will have homework and all tests and quizzes will be announced ahead of time.

8th Grade High School Spanish:  This course is for students that have taken Spanish since the 6th grade.  We will be using the textbook Realidades 1B this year.  We will begin our new unit of study and will review past materials at the same time.  It is very important that students keep up in this class.  They will be taking a writing test in March/April and an End of Course exam in May/early June that will count 20% of their final grade and will also determine if they get High School credit for this course.  We will have homework and all tests and quizzes will be announced ahead of time.
