• Community and Service Opportunities for Paisley Students
    Paisley Community Service Requirement:

    Year I – 20 hours Year IV – 35 hours
    Year II – 25 hours Year V – 40 hours
    Year III – 30 hours
     
    Suggestions for service hours:
    ● Responsible Citizenship: each semester a student is D-1 free earns 5 service hours
    ● Participating in band, chorus, orchestra or dance performances at other schools, at International Festival, and/or at Fine Arts Night
    ● Participating in campus clean-up and beautification
    ● Sweeping/cleaning tables in the cafeteria (1 hour/week)
    ● Participating in school-wide fundraiser (2 hours)
    ● Participating in Hoops for Heart (2 hours)
    ● Signing up for It’s My Call (5 hours)
    ● Serving as a Paisley Ambassador
    ● Entering the “Reflections” event (2 hours)
    ● Volunteering at any organization
    ● Mentoring younger students
    ● Peer tutoring
    ● Certain Clubs are Service Clubs. Check with the Club advisor for any potential service hours. Clubs that are competition, such as National Academic League or Battle of the Books, or Robotics Club do not earn service hours for club membership.
     
    Students may not receive community service hours for participating in sports.
     
    Students will receive this handout from their Individuals and Societies teacher.  On the back of the form, they will record their community service hours and have the the adult supervising the activity sign it.
