• From the Teacher's Desk...

Change what you can, and don't sweat the rest. Sometime in life we are faced with situations and circumstances that cause us to try to change others.  When we do this, there is very little success.  So pick your battles.  Change starts with self.  When you are faced with an obstacle, decide what can be changed and change it.  If it is beyond your control, do your part, let it be, and keep it moving. Lead on!!

When preparation meets opportunity, the result is success
    .
Strive each day to prepare yourself emotionally, academically, and spiritually for the future.  Make the best of the positive opportunities that you are awarded.  Learn from your mistakes and the mistakes of others. Think positive and be a positive force in the lives of others. You never know what opportunity awaits you, so do all that you can to prepare yourself, so that you will have ultimate success. You can do it!!

    Don't limit yourself...
Many times we do not reach our goals because we let prior circumstances and situations get in our way. We must learn to maximize the moment.  It is not our fault when someone gets us down.  But it is our fault if we chose to stay there.  I believe in you!!!

Negativity is an illness and its contagious...
Watch the company that you keep and don't let others bring you down.   Realize that negative energy is transferable.  Be as encouraging as you can to others.  Keep a positive attitude. Try to remain up beat in the midst of uncontrollable circumstances.  And realize that when you have a positive attitude it really does have a positive impact on others.  See the cup half full instead of half empty!!

We always win....We never lose, we just learn...
In all that you do, you should see yourself as a winner. There are times, when things will not go as planned. There will be times when you don't come in first.  There will be times when you feel like you really lost. Be not dismayed.....it was a learning opportunity. Ask yourself what you learned and what can you do differently the next time. Now go for the gold!!! You are a WINNER!!
