Recommended Healthy Choices for Class Treats
Healthy Snack List
Developed by the Staff of Forsyth County Department of Public Health
- Lowfat or fat-free popcorn
- Nature Valley granola bars (including bite size bars) String Cheese
- Bagels - smaller size
- Fresh fruit of any kind - apples with caramel dip, watermelon, cantaloupe, tangerines, berries
- Canned or plastic fruit bowls in light syrup, water, or juice (snack size)
- Unsweetened applesauce
- 100% frozen juice bars
- Animal crackers
- Teddy Grahams (any flavor)
- Goldfish (all varieties)
- Raisins
- Raw veggies with lowfat dip (carrots, broccoli, celery, etc.)
- Lowfat frozen yogurt
- Lowfat ice cream
- Fat-free pudding cups
- Baked chips - Sour cream, Cheddar Ruffles, Cool Ranch Doritos, Nacho Cheese Doritos,
- Need to check nutrition info on SunChips Graham crackers - all varieties
- Fig Newtons
- Lowfat yogurt - 4 or 6 oz. size
- Pretzels
- Lowfat muffins - small size
- Barbara's Animal Crackers (no trans fats)
- Quaker low carb bars
- Vanilla wafers
- Ginger Snaps
- Grilled chicken salad with mixed greens and lowfat dressing (small and large size/entree)
