The Wright Flyer Model Construction
Next time you enter the school building, look up! A scale model of the Wright Flyer, the first airplane, is hanging from the ceiling.
It was constructed by Tony Colburn, teacher of Aeronautics and Science with help from Jeff Burchette, a volunteer in the Aeronautics Club.
Ms. Wall, a Kindergarten teacher at Ibraham and her husband paid for it.
Above the main doors you will see a quote by Wilbur Wright-
"It is possible to fly without a motor, but not without knowledge and skill."
This is as appropriate for learning as well as flying.
There is also a book in the office showing different stages of the construction of the model.
