    Meet Mrs. White
My name is Vicky White and this is my ninth year teaching at Jefferson Elementary and my fifth year in kindergarten.  I previously taught 3rd grade for 4 years here at Jefferson.  I attended Appalachian State University and graduated from Salem College with a degree in Sociology and a Master of Arts in Teaching. I also have an Associate Degree in Architectural Technology and worked in engineering for ten years.
My husband Craig and I both grew up in Winston-Salem and we have been married since 1985. We have two sons: Ryan, a 2010 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill who is working in finance in Charlotte, and Andrew, a 2013 graduate of NC State University who is also working in finance in Charlotte. We  also have a gray and white tuxedo cat named Roy Williams.

Our family has had season tickets to Appalachian State football for the past 29 years and we have traveled with the Mountaineers to three National Championships, and the big upset game against the University of Michigan!  We are big ASU fans--but we now pull for UNC and NCSU, too!  We also enjoy going to most of the Carolina Panthers games.
In my "spare" time I enjoy reading and going to the mountains and our condo at the beach. I also love to travel and since my husband travels internationally for business, I sometimes get to tag along and I have been to Costa Rica; Paris, France; Athens, Greece; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and the Dominican Republic.  I enjoy sharing things from around the world with my students!
I am looking forward to a GREAT year in Kindergarten!
