The Early College of Forsyth will be administering the PSAT on Wed, October 4th for students who choose to participate. We have ordered a few extra tests, and these will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Good Evening to our Early College families,
This is Principal Jordan with a brief announcement.
As we are reminded that Clubs are a way to engage and enhance our students' sense of community and belonging at Early College of Forsyth, please be mindful that we will need students picked up at the scheduled time after club activities.
In an effort to minimize absences in college classes, we are moving our PSAT administration date to Friday, October 6th. The Early College PSAT will be given on Friday, October 6th. Please contact Mrs. Jacobsen (336-734-7997) if you have any questions/concerns.
Students please refrain from going on 3rd floor Snyder Hall.
Any students/families needing assistance with food should contact Ms. Nakawatase (lynakawatase@wsfcs.k12.nc.us). We have a food pantry in Snyder Hall and can assist students/families throughout the school year.

Great job to students and staff for facilitating a wonderful student club fair on Friday. Clubs are a way to engage and enhance our students' sense of community and belonging at Early College of Forsyth. Parents we will need for students to be picked up at the scheduled time for after club activities.
Parents and students please visit our website. Early College of Forsyth website has been under construction and is now ready for parents and students to review and use as a resource for information.
Please advise seniors of the fact that scholarship opportunities will be posted to the ECF webpage and given to English and Seminar instructors to share with students in person and on their class canvas pages.
Progress reports for students with grades lower than a C in a high school class will be mailed home this Wednesday. Parents, you can see all your child's high school grades by using the PowerSchool parent portal. Contact Mrs. Hartis to find out how to gain access to this program if you don't already have it. She can be reached at 336-734-7437.
Any students/families needing assistance with food should contact Ms. Nakawatase (lynakawatase@wsfcs.k12.nc.us). We have a food pantry in Snyder Hall and can assist students/families throughout the school year.

We learned this week that the PSAT administration date is flexible, since it will be digital this year. In an effort to minimize absences in college classes, we are moving our PSAT administration date to Friday, October 6th. The Early and Middle College PSAT will be given on Friday, October 6th. Good Evening to our Early College families,
This is Principal Jordan with a brief announcement.
We will conduct a Student Club Fair on Friday, September 8th from 10:30 am - 1:50 pm. Students will have an opportunity to review an assortment of clubs offered at school. Our clubs are a way to engage students and enhance their experience at Early and Middle College of Forsyth.Students please use the lunch QR Code to order lunch from WSFCS.
Parents and students, there is no school on Monday, September 4th in recognition of the Labor Day Holiday. This applies to high school and college classes. The next day for classes is Tuesday, September 5th.
We will administer the PSAT test on Wednesday, October 4th. We still have a few open spots for juniors to sign up. Mrs. Jacobsen will be in Snyder Hall lobby during lunch next week to answer questions and sign-up students. You may also contact her via email, kljacobsen@wsfcs.k12.nc.us or at 336 734-7997. Friday, September 8th, will be the last day for PSAT registration. Details about the test will be posted at school and sent via email as we get closer to the testing date.

Congratulations to students for completing the first week of college classes at Forsyth Technical Community College.
Parents please refrain from picking up students in the afternoon in Lot G beside Snyder Hall or Lot B in front of Allman Hall. All car riders should be picked up in Lot Q.
Parents please help us in addressing the school dress code. The WSFCS dress code was reviewed during our grade level meetings with staff and students on Wednesday, August 9th. I have attached the presentation and WSFCS dress code (highlighted in yellow) in School Board Policy Code: 5131. Starting on Monday, August 21, teachers and staff will address dress code.

Our buildings will be open for students as early as 7:30 am. Students are required to be at school by 9:00 am. Dismissal begins at 3:20 pm. All students should be picked up by 3:50 pm.
Starting Monday we are asking parents to assist us in streamlining our afternoon car rider dismissal time. Parents, please pick up students in Lot Q besides Snyder Hall. A map is provided for your review.

Good Evening to our Early College and Middle College families,
This is Principal Jordan with announcements for the week of August 7th.
The first day for students will be tomorrow, Monday, August 7th. Our buildings will be open for students as early as 7:30 am. Students are required to be at school by 9:00 am. Dismissal begins at 3:20 pm. All students should be picked up by 3:50 pm.

We need all students from 9th Grade to 12th grade to attend school this week. We will hold grade level meetings for both schools on Wednesday, August 9th and Thursday, August 10th. Our grade level meetings will consist of reviewing goals, expectations, and Forsyth Tech will present and instruct our students to get them acclimated with technology needed to be a college student.
