Bring Up Grades (BUG Program) - Bring Up Grades, or BUG is a program designed to provide recognition to students who raise their grades to an acceptable range, and maintain or continue to raise them from one grading period to the next.
Positive Behavior Intervention Support - North Hills is a positive behavior support school that is striving to improve student academic and behavior outcomes by ensuring that all students have access to the most effective and accurately implemented instructional and behavioral practices and interventions possible.
Response to Intervention - North Hills uses the RTI approach to increase the opportunity for all students to meet academic achievement standards through early identification of students who have additional academic and/or behavioral needs to meet.  RtI ensures that resources and interventions are appropriately targeted to serve all learners as early as possible though high-quality instruction.
    Response to Intervention
21st Century Learning - North Hills emphasizes the need for 21st century schools by incorporating global awareness concepts as well as financial, civic and health literacy.  Key skill areas (creativity and innovation, communication and collaboration, research and information fluency, and critical thinking, problem solving and decision making) are woven into core subject matter to help students make connections between different school subjects and their own lives.
