• Who is Mrs. Tuttle?
     Molly and Dogs

My name is Molly Tuttle and this is my sixteenth year teaching in WSFCS schools. This will be my third year at Kimmel Farm Elementary.  I will be teaching the K-5 science class again this year which is a change from my first year at Kimmel Farm since I taught second grade.

I graduated from Elon University with a BA in elementary education. I previously taught second grade for nine years, and taught K-5 science four years at Old Town Elementary.  I really love teaching science to elementary students in kindergarten through fifth grade, and I hope that each child gains a new interest in the world around them.

I have several pets that will be living in our classroom this year. I have one guinea pig (Coconut), a Painted turtle (Picasso), two Red Eared Sliders (Rosey and Ruby), a rabbit named Little Rabbit, two finches, and several goldfish.  Check out the Science Lab Pets page for pictures.

I am married to Jamie and we have a daughter that was born on June 26, 2011.  Her name is Logan Eileen, and I love watching her grow and change everyday!  We also have two dogs, named Zoe and Baxter. I love spending time with my family, and I also enjoy animals, reading, running, gardening, boating, and helping my community.

I love to run and have completed many races. I have finished seven half-marathons (13.1 miles), and two full marathons (26.2 miles) and a triathlon. I am not currently training for anything, but hope to do a spring half marathon and another marathon soon.  I love running with Logan in my jogging stroller.

I will be working with the GO FAR running program this year.  Students in grades 3-5 learn how to be positive and healthy everyday!  The students will run a 5K (3.2) miles in May.

I also work with Girls On The Run with students from El Buen Pastor. Girls On The Run teaches girls in grades 3-5 to be positive and healthy everyday. The girls will run a 5k (3.2 miles) at the end of each season.
