Classroom PoliciesHomework/AgendaIn fourth grade we focus on teaching students responsibility. Students will be expected to record their homework in their agendas daily, complete all assignments, and have their agenda signed nightly. Each night, students will be assigned: Reading, Math and Wordly Wise homework. For Reading students will be expected to read 20 minutes and write a good 4th grade summary (at least 1/2 a page) about what they read. Occasionally, there will be additional homework assignments. In the event your child is unable to complete their homework, please write this in their agenda so they will not be disciplined.
P Pay attention
A Always be prepared.
W Work and act safely.
S Show respect.
- If your child breaks a rule, he/she will be given a warning. After the warning, if misbehavior persists, a classroom discipline form will be started. If this form is filled out three times in one week, you will receive a copy to be signed and returned. If two discipline forms are filled out on a child in one week, an office visit will occur. Students will also be walking laps at recess as a consequence for misbehavior.
Every day students also have the opportunity to earn stickers. They put these on a sticker chart. When it is full they go to a catelog and pick out a prize. Students will also have the opportunity to earn Paw Bucks for good behavior and be able to shop and spend their Paw Bucks in our school store.
As a class students will have the oppurtunity to earn Panda Paws for good behavior in specials and at lunch. When our class Paw chart is filled the class will spin the school game spinner and receive a prize for their good behavior.
