Comprehension Practice
Here is another site where students can practice their comprehension strategies after reading a passage online. -
Educational videos and links to a variety of subject areas
On this site, you can practice in several subject areas. The list is neverending! I know this year, we have different systems like the skeletal, muscular, or nervous system. Students could use this for science as well! -
Pete's PowerPoints
This website is filled with all subject areas for students to review concepts at their own pace. I use some of these PowerPoints in class throughout the year, so I'm sure they will be helpful to your children as well. -
Internet 4 Classrooms
This website contains extensive links to resources for students to succeed. For example, by clicking on the Grade Level help, you will be able to access such links to language arts, math, or social studies. Students can work independently to strenghen their skills at particular subject areas.Language Arts offers grammar and reading comprehension exercises for students to practice.Hope you enjoy a new avenue of learning! -
Reading Kiddos!
This link provides novels for students by age and genre. It is more up to date and should capture most any desire in reading for a 5th grader. The titles include summations for students to get a taste if they might like the novel or series. You are sure to find just the right book for you! -
McCarthy-Towne School - Leveled Book Site
Finding the right book to fit your style and ability can be frustrating sometimes. Below is a site I found this summer that gives many books to choose from either by grade level or alphabetical. The site is not up to date completely, but provides a solid base for students to begin somewhere!Enjoy:)
