•  All About Me

I am so happy to be teaching third grade AG at Sedge Garden Elementary.  This is my twelfth year at Sedge Garden and my 19th year teaching.

I was born in Madrid, Spain to Cuban parents and immigrated to the United States when I was three years old.   I lived with my parents in West New York, New Jersey until we moved to Hialeah, Florida  when I was 15.  Living in Florida was nice because I was only 25 minutes from Miami Beach. In March 2005, My husband and children decided to make Kernersville, North Carolina our new home.   I have been married for 27 years and have 3 children, two sons who are 26 and 22, a daughter who is 17, and two fur children, an Alaskan Husky/Lab mix named Chance and a Maltese/mix named Jerry.  Chance will be 13 on December 6th and Jerry will be 6 on December 14th.  This past November I became a grandmother!  I have a beautiful grand daughter named Evelyn.

When I am not at school I enjoy reading, dancing and watching television or watching movies at home.  I love spending time at home with my family.   I also love nature, being outside and the beautiful change of seasons here in North Carolina.  I am obsessed with the trees in the Fall.  I love being outside when the weather is nice and we sometimes take our learning outside.

What I love most of all though is, TEACHING!  Teaching is my passion and I wouldn't be happy doing anything else.
