Science Fair 2018
Monday, December 10th - Tuesday, December 11th
Conducting an inquiry-based science project fosters enthusiasm for science while building a variety of presentation skills--a perfect fit for Sherwood Forest's integration of science and the visual arts. All children K- 3rd grade are encouraged to participate. Participation is mandatory for 4th and 5th graders.
Each participant will formulate a hypothesis, carry out experiments to test it, and use his or her creativity to present the procedure, results and conclusions. Additionally, the participant will have the opportunity to develop presentation skills--an extremely valuable real-world tool! These are all things working scientists do every day.Although extremely helpful, registration is encouraged but not required. Walk-ins will be accepted. If your child's Science Fair project includes participation by people, please complete the consent form and submit it with the completed project. If the participant is a minor, a parent or guardian's signature is needed. A separate consent form is required for each participant. If your child has already completed their experiments, you may ask the participant to sign the form now. We just need it when the project is judged. Download a Consent Form.Kindergarten-2nd Grade
