• What will your child learn in kindergarten?

    castle
The competencies that we strive to attain in kindergarten come from
the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. The areas of instruction are: English, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Healthful Living, Art, Computer Skills, Guidance, and Character Education.

I feel that children should have many learning experiences during this first year of school. We will work to learn all letters of the alphabet, shapes, colors, numbers, knowledge of using a book, reading pattern texts, learning to do writing both shared and individual, and learning high frequency words. It is my goal for your child to love school and see it as an exciting place to be!
