I was born and raised in North Carolina. I graduated from Wake Forest University, worked for about 9 years and then earned my Master's Degree in counseling from UNC-G. I am a National Certified Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist. I have recently opened a private practice, The Yellow Brick Road Therapy Center, counseling children and adolescents part-time.
My husband and I have lived in Clemmons for 30 years. I have two children; a daughter who graduated from Appalachian State University and is attending UNC Greensboro and a son who graduated from West Forsyth High School and attends Appalachian. I worked as a middle school counselor for 4 years before moving to the elementary school level. This is my 20th year at Southwest. I am the only counselor here at Southwest. I work with Kindergarten, First and Second Grade classes in weekly classroom guidance. I will work with Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade teachers to schedule guidance.
