    Mr. Colin Tribby

    Dear Ward Families,

I am so excited to be your new principal at Ward Elementary. Everyone I have met has been extremely kind and welcoming to me, and it feels like I have found my home within the P.R.I.D.E., which is Marvin Ward Elementary. My family literally lives less than two miles down the road, so our daughter will be attending Ward this year.

Throughout my career as an educator, I have worked at all levels from Pre-K through 12th grade as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. This has given me the opportunity to see the amazing growth potential that all students possess, provided they have a school community that believes in them and is vested in partnering with families along the way. To that end, I believe that schools do their best work when everyone is on board each and every day to ensure our students launch into the future successfully.

As you will learn, I am a lifelong musician. I am a member of the W-S Symphony, and I previously worked as a touring rock, jazz, and classical percussionist and singer while living in New York City. I will be starting an afterschool West African drumming club for our 4th and 5th grade students, so be on the lookout for upcoming shows featuring the Ward Drum Squad.

Again, I want to say thank you for welcoming me into the PRIDE and please feel free to stop in and say hello anytime.

    Yours,

    Colin Tribby
