• Mrs. Cain's Classroom Concerns

    1. Utilizing reading strategies is crucial for academic success!!  Please encourage your child to go back and look up answers for nonfiction texts!!

    2. Pencils....please make sure your child has them!!!

    3. Make sure your child is reading at least 20-30 minutes per night. Listen to your child read, because it will help you hear how fluent your child is, as well as asking them questions will give you a better understanding of how well your child comprehends what they are reading.

    4. Practice, practice, practice multiplication facts. Every math concept in second quarter is dependent upon your child being fluent in their multiplication facts! If your child is counting on their fingers, then they are not fluent.
