The name STARS stands for Student Technology AdvisoRS.  STARS is a club based on the program first established at Wake Forest University to assist staff and students with the myriad of technology related problems that arise in a school.  Students can help during the morning before homeroom, sometimes at lunch or occasionally after-school.  STARS is a working technology club, not a gaming or technology interest club.  In other words, students in STARS work on projects that help students and teachers!

Students work on a variety of jobs including: troubleshotting technical difficulties, identifying viruses or spyware, and helping students and teachers in the computer lab.

If you are interested in STARS,  see Mr. Downs in the computer lab, for more information,  or e-mail him at:  jdowns@wsfcs.k12.nc.us
