Your notebook will be returned to you during your class period on Monday. You will also receive a grading rubric. Please note that I will schedule another notebook check before the end of the quarter so remember to to continue to keep your notebook updated and presentable.

Notebook grades are now available on parent portal.  Please note that your grade was based on neatness, organization, presence of a reprsentative table of contents (even if incomplete), maps, illustrations, pop-ups, notes and vocabulary. Overall condition of your notebook was an important factor.

Notebook check is scheduled for next Thursday, the last day of the third quarter. If you will be absent on that day, you must make sure that I have your notebook before you leave this week. A few students have asked about missing worksheets.  If you have or will ask me about a missing worksheet, you have been instructed to just write the title of the missing worksheet on the appropriate page in your notebook.  I will not count it as missing.

Imperialism quiz is scheduled for tomorrow.  

Draw and illustrate a political cartoon based on classroom reenactments of scramble for Africa, Otto Vonn Bismark, Berlin Conference and events that united and divided Africa

Complete "World's Plunderers" worksheet and write a one - half page reflection about the Imperialism classroom simulation.  Your reflection should include your feelings and concerns about being taken over and controlled by an imperialist power.  You should also compare and contrast your feelings with the supposed real feelings of the real people who were victims of real European Imperialism.
