INTERNATIONAL DIVERSITY CLUBEverything is about Cultural Exchange
This International Diversity Club was created as first time at Robert B Glenn High School by Ms. Cythia Scales and Dr. Javier Arizmendi during this current school year 2014 - 2-15. The idea is to welcome all the students who are coming from different countries to the US, NC and Kernersville our community and integrate them in the Bob Cats family, make an opportunity to learn each other and exchange our cultural experiences, customes, traditions and language. participate activily and activities that school has to promote our presence and our countries such as open houses, pep rally, foreign langauge, etc.Purpose:
Multicultural Club is a way for students to help celebrate and educate with our student body the many different cultures present in our community. Through out the year the club is involved in many activities from International Diversity Week, cultural candy sales, bringing in speakers on cultural topics, educating students in cultural music, food and traditions that are practiced outside of the school environment. The club is open to all students who wish to participate.

Our club represent the different students with different cultures in Glenn High School who are now Bob cat family. Our commitment is to maintain higher expectations in our future goals, with responsibility, date and on time by following the policy and the standards with no exceptions. All meeting times and project dates should be kept up with by every member.Goal:
The main goals of the club are to promote cultural awareness, promote diversity, and promote tolerance. Students in the club have the opportunity to learn about different cultures and understand diversity.To Apply:
1. Complete an application adding size for the T-shirt.
2. Bring an envelope containing $15.00 with name written on the front.
3. You must be enrolled in "Its My Call".4. We will meet the first and third Wednesday of every month to have our meetings and elaborate our projects.
*** BRING ALL APPLICATION ITEMS TO ROOM 201 TO THE SPONSORS: BEFORE SCHOOL START, LUNCH TIME OF AFTER SCHOOL.FIRST EVENT:PARTICIPATION IN THE INTERNATIONAL NIGHT.CELEBRATION "DAY OF THE DEATH"CREATION OF FLOWERS WITH TISSUE PAPER, NAPKINS AND SERPENTINE PAPER:SECOND EVENT:Christmas: Recycling: jars, paper, decorating them for Christmas and also students will elaborate ornaments for the trees and doors, etc.THIRD EVENT:Rising 9th grade. the club will participate in the open house promoting the club with parents, students and public during their visit to Glenn.FOURTH EVENT:Mothers day, students will design different kind of gifts for their mothers by using recycling material: paper, card board, yarn, wood, etc., Projects knitting, pasting, and more.FIFTH EVENT:Fathers day, students will use their imagination to design something as a project using material can be recycle.
