Mr. Adam Joiner, a graduate of Pisgah High School in Canton, North Carolina, earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Western Carolina University and Master of Music degree from the North Carolina School of the Arts.
Mr. Joiner is in his 17th year of teaching. He is currently in his 8th year at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. Mr. Joiner was the District 4 President for the North Carolina Music Educator’s Association and served in that capacity for 6 years. He now serves on the board of the organization as the Conference Co-Chair. He was the 2014-2015 Teacher of the Year for Thomas Jefferson Middle School.
In 2008, he was awarded National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS).
Mr. Joiner’s private saxophone students have achieved top honors at county, district and state events and he has had students in some of the most prestigious saxophone studios in the country.
Mr. Joiner lives in Winston-Salem with his wife Heather and their two children, Annaliese and Lucas.
