Welcome to Smith Farm Elementary Pre-K! We are excited to have your child in our program. We look forward to getting to know your child as well as your family. Below you will find a listing of policies and procedures for the 2015-2016 school year.
The following documents are needed before your child begin school.
Certified Birth Certificate (with raised seal MOTHER’S COPY NOT ACCEPTED)
Kindergarten Health Assessment Form (blue sheet) must be completed by physician
Current Immunization Record
Lunch Forms (Please be prepared to cover meal expenses if you do not qualify for Free/Reduced lunch) USE BLACK INK ONLY

Authorization Pick-up (must have driver’s license for the 1st time)
___ Our school day begin at 7:45 a.m. If your child arrives after 9:00 am you must stop by the office for an unexcused tardy before entering into class. Please call if your child will be late due to an appointment (doctor, dentist, WIC, etc).
___Our school day ends at 2:25p.m. Please Arrive ON TIME
___ Your child MUST be signed in and out DAILY by and ADULT or SIBLING (18yrs. & older) We will not release any children to school age siblings.
___All children must have two sets of clothes in their cubby, including pants, shirts, underwear, and socks at ALL times. Also, make sure that their extra clothes are convenient for the season.
Important papers and handouts are given out frequently. Therefore, it is imperative that you check your child’s Homework Folder.
___Homework Folders will be sent home every Monday and must be returned Daily. Please make sure you are helping your child with their assignments and initial upon completion.
___Our home-school partnership is very important, and we must maintain consistency in order to foster your child’s growth and development. Therefore, it is essential that you enhance weekly concepts and lessons at home.
__We encourage all parents to become involved with your child's learning experience by volunteering throughout the school year. These activities include parent conferences, parent meetings, curriculum nights, joining PTA, chaperones for field trips reading to class, donating classroom items, etc. Please make sure to record all time in the Parent Volunteer Log.
