    We Love Speaking Image
I collaborate with teachers and parents about student needs. I screen, evaluate, and serve students who have a variety  of communication difficulties that can involve a child's voice, fluency, articulation, and language (see link for definitions). Currently, I serve our school age population as well as other preschool students who are found eligible for services and are brought to the school for therapy. Therapy occurs within the special education classroom and in small groups in the therapy room. It can involve game oriented activities, peer and teacher interactions, drills, hands on activities, language activities focusing on age appropriate books, and learning language through play and through participating in functional activities. I want to teach my students the communication skills that they need in order to connect with those in their environment, how to make and maintain good relationships with others, and to be successful in their academic environment.
