As the main source for electrical maintenance and service throughout WSFC Schools, the Electrical Department has the responsibility to maintain and/or service, repair, replace, rebuild, and make function in a way as to maintain the safety and operation of each building and/or facility in the system, which presently numbers 80 sites.
We have a total of 16 technicians that perform various duties as follows:
8 Electrical Zone Technicians, with two technicians in each of four zones, responsible for general electrical work
3 Low Voltage Technicians, with one technician in each of three zones, responsible for Bogen, Rauland, CATV, emergency radios, fire alarms, and athletic scoreboards
1 Technician for emergency generator and motor preventive maintenance
1 Camera Service Technician
2 Kitchen Equipment Technicians
1 Technician for special projects, outside lighting, and other preventive maintenance
We are a very diversified department and this by no means is an all-inclusive description of what the Electrical Department does. We often find that we are called upon to perform a wide variety of tasks that are for the benefit and safety of our students and staff.
