• Welcome!
    Hello Students and Families,
I am so excited to be working with you again this year in our new second grade class!  Actually our classroom will not be new.  We will still be in Room 105 since there wasn't room for us on the other end of the school.  However, our classroom may have a different look and you will be having desks this year.  Since you will have more room to put your personal items, you may select a pencil box this year instead of a zippered pouch.  I hope you have had a fun summer.  I also hope you've been doing lots of reading for pleasure.  I have been reading a book each week and I hope you've done the same!

For those of you who will be new to our class, I would like to offer you a very warm welcome!  You are joining a great bunch of kids and they will soon make you feel very comfortable in our group!  Since you don't know me, I will tell you a little about myself.  I love reading and teaching students to become great readers.  I also enjoy crocheting, knitting, and sewing.  My favorite color is pink; I enjoy country music; and my favorite place to go is to the beach. It will be fun getting to know you and finding out some of your favorite things!

You might like to know that I grew up near Kernersville, in Greensboro,NC, and received my teaching degree from U.N.C.Greensboro.  I especially have enjoyed living in Kernersville.  It has been my pleasure to work with first graders at Piney Grove for twenty-one years.  I am now looking forward to working with second graders at Piney Grove!

We will work very hard this year to become the best learners we can be!  I know it will be another great year because YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

    Love,

    Mrs. Busick

p.s. Gill and Bob have missed you this summer and will be happy to return to the classroom!!!
