It is my goal to help each child succeed to the best of his or her ability. This is the first year your child will receive letter grades on all assignments, this can be a difficult transition for parents. Please feel free to contact me at anytime if you have any questions or concerns about your child's grades.
Grades are earned in my classroom through a variety of assignments and tasks. Each type of assignment will count as a percentage toward the child’s final score in each subject. I do accept late work from absences and incomplete classwork throughout the quarter, however it is best to return these assignments the week they are due. Students will be given list of missing work weekly. All assignment not turned in by the end of the quarter will be recorded as a 50. Below you will find a copy of the WSFCS grading scale and a list of the assignment weight scale.
