LEAP



The LEAP program is an awesome opportunity for students who have had to repeat a grade to get back on their original track. Students in the 7/8 LEAP program are seventh graders who are promoted to the ninth grade if they complete all the requirements of the program. These students are tested at the end of the year on 8th grade curriculum. They must pass ALL classes, miss less than 20 days of school, and make a level 3 or 4 on the Math and Reading EOG. Students coming to the program should already be proficient in math and reading. They should have good study skills and a desire to put in the extra effort that is needed to s

Gateway

The 8th grade gateway program is for students who have had trouble being successful scoring a level three on the state EOG's. Our classes at Kennedy are a maximum of 15 students. These small class sizes allow us to give students the extra help that they need to get on track.
