    Course Description

    This course focuses on human anatomy, physiology and human body diseases and disorders, and biomedical therapies.  Students will learn about health care careers within the context of human body systems.  Projects, teamwork, and demonstrations serve as instructional strategies that reinforce the curriculum content.  English language arts and science are reinforced in this course.  Apprenticeship and cooperative education are not available for this course.  Biology is recommended as good preparation for this course. Successful completion of Health Sciences I and Health Sciences 2 is a prerequisite for Nursing Fundamentals.


    The purpose is to enable you to be a creative independent thinker and writer. Your interactive notebook will be used ALL notes, activities, quizzes, tests, and projects for this class. YOU WILL BE CREATING YOUR OWN PERSONALIZED TEXTBOOK!!
                  WHAT MATERIALS DO I NEED?

    Plastic Cover Spiral Notebook- 4 subject- College rule (An 8 ½ x 11 page will fit on a college rule page BUT will not fit on a wide rule notebook.)

    Glue stick

    Self-adhesive index tabs

    Colored pencils or markers
    Health Care Related Current Event DUE each Monday
