• PTSA Membership Matters

There are ample opportunities for parents, staff members and students to work together to ensure R.J. Reynolds High School continues to deliver enriching educational experiences to all students in the classroom, through the arts programs and on the athletic fields.  One of the easiest and most effective ways for all in the Reynolds community to participate in this effort is to join the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA).

Research indicates that parents and family members who are involved in the schools their children attend positively impact both individual student success and the educational experience for all.  At Reynolds, you see the benefits of this vital involvement all around the school. From the very first day of the school year through graduation day, RJR’s PTSA continually strives to support every student’s well-being and success.

When you join the Reynolds PTSA, you will:

    ·       Have a voice.  Members can attend meetings, serve on the board or School Improvement Team (SIT).

    ·       Build relationships.  By getting involved in PTSA-sponsored activities or volunteering, members not only help in vital ways, but also have the chance to develop relationships with others who participate.

    ·       Share individual talents/skills.  A rich school experience for all depends on a broad base of talents and skills used to support both students and programs.

    ·       Stay informed.  The PTSA offers weekly e-newsletters throughout the school year and can direct members to helpful resources if needed to solve problems.

Joining the PTSA is easy! All who contribute a minimum of $10 to the Legacy Campaign will automatically receive one PTSA membership.  Regular memberships cost $5 each and can be acquired by completing the PTSA form and returning it to the main office with your payment.
